Its the purity of the clearness that draws me to this pen. The polishing process to make it so clear without blemish must have be pretty extensive. Its clearness is the one thing that scares me about this pen - one day I fear I will stain it.
The older of my two M800 18K Italic Broad nibs, added to my collection just over 7 years ago now. So broad that it is not the best for everyday use but is certain a fun nib to show off an ink.
I generally like a grey ink. They all tend to shade well and the grey tone looks great on off-white paper. This Montblanc ink is on the lighter side of the grey scale but still is a nice classy ink.
