On the second occasion after writing a long and involved post about my new way to select pen, nib and ink combinations for rotation I throw it all out the window with this selection.

Why? Well I am heading to Sydney this coming weekend to attend its inaugural Pen Show and since I am only taking my seven pens in rotation I wanted to have a 'special' one to show off.

The M800 Royal Gold Raden is a limited edition with a run of 338 pens. I know of only one other in Australia but there maybe more in the hands of collectors here who don't brag about their pens like I do.

To go with a special pen I teamed it with my favourite M800 custom grind - My Richard Binder 0.7mm cursive italic. I love this nib.

I grabbed my bottle of the Edelstein Ink of the Year from 2016, Aquamarine to complete the Pelikan trio. It has since become part of the standard line. I class it as a blue-black, it sheens slightly on the letter edges from this medium stub.
